What is the Best Platform for You?
Are you creating the content your customers, clients and community want? As a leader in your industry, are you putting yourself out there with articles, events, or online opportunities to help solidify you as an expert in your field?
Creating a platform for your message just may be the most important thing you do for your business.
Take a moment to reflect on your strengths. Are you naturally good at talking to others? Writing down your thoughts? Working a room at a networking event? Perhaps you've always wanted to travel the country and give talks about your industry.
Whatever your best natural strength is, focus on that first for your platform. Using that strength, will you be able to create podcasts, write a blog, or start a mastermind group? After you get comfortable with your first platform, branch off into a second one. Make sure they overlap and work together instead of conflicting with each other for your energy, time or message.
Working with more than one platform will give you the opportunity to reach people in different ways. Not everyone likes to read blogs, but they might find you through your YouTube videos or hear about the event you're hosting.
